Work on the new wing proceeded extremely fast over the Summer of 2007, with the result that the new wing of the Mziuri facility was completed in time for the opening day of the 07-08 school year. At 6,000 square feet, the new wing provides five classrooms and administration offices. (The new wing can be seen to the left of the red roof in the picture above.) Importanty, the new wing permits the entire School of Tomorrow to be accommodated at the Mziuri site, which means that the elementary grades are no longer housed in the rented building on Petriashvili Street, which became unavailable to the School this Summer. Having the entire School at one site makes administration much easier.
The new wing, like the first wing, has been designed to accept a second story in the future, as the School expands its enrollment, and to include workshops, teacher accommodation, etc. Furthemore, the existing octagonal building (a hippodrome in the past) is now incorporated into the school facility, and serves as a gymnasium, until such time as a purpose-built gymnasium can be constructed on the site (you can see the pad for it on the left of the picture below).
